Vehicle Excise/ad valorem Tax Exemption:
No. Equipment purchased to modify a vehicle to be used by an individual
with disabilities is exempt from sales tax.

Active Pay Exemption:
Yes. 

Retired Pay Tax Exemption:
Yes.  Public pensions are not taxed if below $85,000 for filing individually or $100,000 for filing jointly.

Disabled Veteran License Plate:
Yes.  Any level of VA disability with the appropriate doctor’s letter is required. There is also something called the “Metered Plackard“: This is issued to veterans who have been awarded a Bronze Star or higher award and can be used to park in handicapped designated spaces and paid parking spaces.
