NEXUS Statement

A NEXUS STATEMENT is one of the documents that you will submit with your claim. It is written by your doctor. It outlines the details of your medical condition. It outlines your diagnosis and treatments and the impact the disability has had on your life. It also makes a link or connection between a veteran’s current disability and an in-service incident, event, or injury.

You will have to request it from your doctor. You can write one, then ask your doctor to review and edit it before signing it. This would make it easier for your doctor to agree to do it because it would reduce the amount of time they will have to spend on it.
