WHAT IS A HUBZONE
HUBZones are areas throughout the country designated by the federal government as historically underutilized business zones.  Hence, they incentivize businesses to get established in these areas so that they can be revitalized.  These businesses can get the following incentives:

1.  Set-aside of at least 3% of federal contract dollars.  This means that 3% of all federal contracts will go to HUBZone businesses.
2.  Preferential consideration in full and open competition.  This means that your business will be considered first for contract award
3. 10% price evaluation preference in full and open contract competitions.  This means that as long as your bid for a contract is within 10% of the lowest bid you will win the contract.
4.  HUBZone-certified businesses can still compete for contract awards under other socio-economic programs they qualify for.
