Yes. Veterans with a disability rating of 50% or more may receive a property tax exemption up to the first $150,000 of the assessed value of their primary residence.

Non-Disability Property Tax Exemption:
No exemption for non-disabled veterans.

Vehicle Excise/ad valorem Tax Exemption:
Yes. The Alaska (AK) state sales tax rate is currently 0%. Individual municipalities can set their own taxation rates, and sales tax can be as high as 7.5%. A disabled veteran whose vehicle is partly or fully paid for by the VA is exempt.

Yes. Alaska does not have a personal income tax.

Yes. Disabled veterans with at least a 50% disability get free hunting and sport fishing licenses. Active-duty military members stationed in Alaska and their dependents can get licenses at resident rates​​.

Yes. Offers up to 100% tuition assistance for veterans and their family members.
